trying to decide...

i'm trying to decide if i want to try and make some of these t-shirt dresses to donate for humanitarian aid. they announced at church that this is a big need right now and to bring any that we already had to donate. i don't have any, but i do have access to a bunch of small t-shirts. i wish i could remember when that relief society was.

I can't say that it's really my favorite song, but it's ok. I'm a little torn, avril has morphed into a new person from when i used to love her in high school. but at least it's not techno garbage. ps pardon the language.

Getting ready...

It all started because at the end of the month we are going to St. George with Darren's mom and family. The girls are going up at the first of the week and the guys are coming up for the weekend. I'm pretty excited, but i wasn't excited to be seen in public in a swimming suit. So i challenged my best friend and her husband to lose weight with us. The deal is to put a dollar in a jar for ever pound you lose, but if you gain you have to add $2.00. It's really helped me stick with it. And we text each other all the time to tease that we are going to win. it's friendly competition. My mom even has started and found this really cool website that helps you with keeping track of your calories and exercising, and all that fun stuff. I even got a tracker on the bottom of the blog from there. I'm feeling good, lost 5lbs in 2-3 weeks. just ordered some really cute swim boy-shorts from here. it's going really good. And in the end whoever loses the most weight gets the jars of money!

my little summer secret....

I hate summer. it's my least favorite time of the year. i don't mind rain and cool weather at all. so while everyone in utah is so excited for summer, i'm thinking i hope i survive! i get heat rash super easy, i hate being hot, i hate not using my oven because it's too hot. pretty much the only thing about summer i like is camping, cold grape soda's, and trips to bear lake.

Farm Camping

We decided we are going to make it a life long tradition to go camping at least once a year up on my Grandma and Grandpa's farm up in Idaho. We made a fire and then the next day made tin foil dinners and just helped out doing whatever we could. it was very relaxed and a ton of fun! We roasted giant marshmallows!
