this is the design straight from the computer, I make it in our vinyl program and then I just have to use the pen in the cutter to draw out all the applique pieces. It's not perfect but I didn't have to do much to make it work. |
We've had the fabric to make this quilt for ages, when we found out we are getting new babies in the family it was just the push we needed to tackle this quilt. I started designing and working on it the same Wednesday that my grandma died, so even though it's not the best memory I have tied to it I will always remember that little bit of info no matter what. and cutting out the pieces for applique up at my grandpa's some time later and my cousin McKennie liked laying them out on the floor and playing with them. And When we tied it up at the Farm on conference weekend we had to keep holding it down so the wind wouldn't blow it away since we did it outside. Everyone helper quilt it. and we finished it up at Mitch and Keyvin's and listened to the last session on Sunday. And the week after mom and me had it sitting out to finish binding it and it was pretty cold so I ended up doing the last 3 feet just so I could sit in it and stay warm. We added the sheep at the bottom because Brin had sheep that would come visit here at the house. It was a lot of fun, and there are a lot of memories tied into making this one quilt.
